Hair Mineral Analysis

Hair Analysis

Hair Tissue Analysis for trace minerals

Hair tissue analysis is a great way to find out if a body is lacking in a particular trace element, or has heavy metal toxic overload. We are finding more and more that many biochemical reactions in the body rely on having the right trace mineral raw materials. A body functions at its best when you feed the body the trace mineral nutrition it craves.

Hair tissue analysis is a non intrusive method of analysing your body's mineral status.

Hair tissue data can indicate potential health issues and help you avoid future nutritional problem areas. Even though it is reassuring to have health insurance with perhaps Aviva or Bupa, we all know the importance of being aware of our health issues. It is becoming increasingly common to look at different aspects of ourselves, such as hair tissue data, to find answers.
Often times we embark on a journey of health awareness, and we find some foods seem to be more beneficial for our bodies than others. Hair analysis is becoming a leading method to help us narrow which foods are our bodies "best fit".

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

Head Hair is best for testing.
Skin cells can be used for tissue mineral analysis, but one needs to supply about a one foot square sample.

A hair sample from the head represents the most recent metabolic activity.
A high level of cell growth taken place in the gut in the epithelial cells of the stomach, and in the rapid growth of hair cells.

About 0.5 grams, or one tablespoon of head hair taken from the nap of the neck.

Hair needs to be untreated and uncoloured, so wait at least six to ten weeks after the dyeing or perming hair, before making a sample.
